In this module I will provide an overview of the course content and what you can understand from an HTMA report: the foundations of oxidation type; the stress response; and how metabolic rate shapes everything you'll see. This is also where we explore the heart of the Aspire approach: that the cellular behaviour seen on the HTMA and the homeopathic picture of the person are the same pattern, the same expression at every level. This module is the one where the two halves of this work meet, the functional behaviour of the Nutritional Elements and the Homeopathic essence. We go through the fifteen nutritional elements, and we read each of them in turn, from two directions at once: what the element actually does in the body, what high and low tissue levels are really telling you (the polarities of the homeopathic minerals), how the minerals interact in the body, how they influence hormones and organs, what to stay mindful of clinically and how that same behaviour shows up in the person sitting in front of you. For example: Calcium builds a wall at the cell membrane, and the person builds one around their life. Magnesium enables three hundred reactions and is credited with none of them. These are not two subjects that happen to rhyme. Toxic elements are the part of the report patients worry about most, and the part where it is easiest to act too soon. Almost everybody carries some burden, which makes this a routine finding rather than an alarming one. Often what matters is not the presence of a metal but what it has displaced, whether the body is functioning well enough to eliminate it, and why this particular patient is holding on to it. Lead occupies the sites calcium would have used. Cadmium mimics zinc. Mercury takes selenium with it. Now that we have the foundations and the individual elements secure, we come to the part of the course that brings the relationships between them to life. The ratios are what make the case work later on possible, and that is where most practitioners find the HTMA all starts to come together.An individual element tells you how much. A ratio tells you what the body is doing with it. This is the module where the chart stops being a list of numbers and starts telling you a story, and a chart that looks perfectly unremarkable on levels often turns out to have been saying something quite different all along. We draw the whole framework back into one approach, and then work a real case from start to finish: reading a result stage by stage, and then standing back to hear the story it tells about the patient. Everything so far has taught you to analyse the results alongside your patient. This module is about what comes next: what to expect at the retest, the second and third results, and the work of guiding a picture that keeps moving. When the stuckness is resolved, the vitality returns and the metabolism starts to function well, what happens in the chart and in the patient in front of you? What happens to the toxic elements? We explore this together in this module. We then turn to the mineral picture in autism and ADHD, which is where a great deal of this comes together clinically. Exploring how the key mineral relationships ripple out to affect the other elements in the body, including those we can't see on an HTMA, such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon and hydrogen. This widens the lens from the report in front of you to the whole biochemical picture of the person.

Three months of live, case analysis sessions held on the second Thursday of every month, from 7pm to 9pm via Zoom. This is your chance to see me work through real cases, ask questions, and grow your confidence in a supportive group setting. Monthly live case analysis: How these sessions work These sessions are a wonderful part of the course, and I want you to get as much from them as possible. This is a short guide to how they run and how to bring your questions, so that we can use the two hours well. Sessions run on the second Thursday of the month, 7pm to 9pm. As a course attendee you are welcome at three consecutive sessions. If you would like to keep coming after that, you can subscribe to further blocks at £60 for each three session block.What these sessions are:Each session takes one case and works it through from chart to prescription. You see the whole sequence: the foundations, the reading of the chart, the timeline, where the person has become stuck, and how the prescription follows from all of it. It is a chance to remind yourself how to work a case from start to finish. Seeing the patient rather than the report. Recognising the energy of the case. Holding the symptoms and the chart together and letting the treatment plan come out of both.How to get the most from them:Come with your own current cases in mind, even though we will not be analysing them. The reasoning is what transfers, and it transfers far better when you have a real chart of your own to hang it on. Many practitioners find it useful to have a case open in front of them and to keep asking, as we go, "what would that step look like on mine?"Bringing a case or questions to clinicYou're very welcome to bring a case to these sessions. What I'd ask is that you send it to me beforehand, in full, so I have time to sit with it properly - see below for full details on how to submit your case for analysis in these sessions.Due to the complexities involved, and the individualisation at the heart of our work, I wouldn't feel it appropriate to analyse a case I haven't seen from a fragment of a chart in the moment. It couldn't be done properly, and a partial reading could easily point you in a direction that doesn't serve the person sitting in your clinic.Submitting a case for analysis:If you would like your case to be the one we work through, please email it to me at least two weeks before the session. Send the full chart, including the individual nutritional elements, the toxic elements, the additional elements and the toxic ratios, along with a simple case history, what the patient is currently suffering with, and what you have done so far. Please make sure your patient is happy for their chart and history to be used, anonymised, as teaching material. Cases are always anonymised before the session, and I will remove anything identifying. Places are first come, first served, and I will contact you before the session to confirm whether we will be working through your case. I often have more cases than sessions, so if yours is not chosen this time it stays on the list and I will let you know when its turn comes. Bringing your own case is the most useful thing you can do, so please do put yourself forward. It is not an exam, and cases that have not gone to plan are often the most valuable ones for everybody in the room.Questions during the session:Questions are genuinely welcome, and there is time set aside for them at the end of every session.Please hold your questions until we get there rather than raising them as we go. Working a case through from chart to prescription only teaches what it is meant to teach if the thread stays unbroken, and once we stop partway through, the sequence is much harder to pick back up. You will also often find that your question gets answered by the time we reach the prescription. It helps to know that there are two kinds of question, and which one you are asking. Questions of principle are questions about how the reasoning works. How do I tell a true deficiency from a relative one. Why I read that ratio that way. What changes when the patient is in burnout rather than alarm. Which comes first when two things both look urgent. These are the questions I want. They take two minutes, they help everybody in the room, and they are the reason the session exists. Questions about your own specific case need the whole chart, the history and the timeline before anybody could answer them responsibly. If the question starts with your patient's ratios, or with a symptom, I will not be able to answer these live, and please do not take that as me withholding. A confident answer built on a fragment is worse than no answer. What I will do instead is answer the principle sitting underneath your question, which is usually the part you actually need, and which everybody else can use too. Jot your questions down as we go, so that nothing gets lost between the chart and the end of the session. If you would like your own case worked through, submit it as the case for a future session, or book one to one supervision with me.A note on confidentiality Everything discussed in the session stays in the session. Cases are anonymised, but please treat what you hear as you would anything else from a consulting room and do not share details outside the group. It is for this reason that the sessions are not routinely recorded. What comes up in the room on the night decides it, and often a session is more useful precisely because it is not being recorded. Please plan to attend live and treat any recording as a bonus rather than something to rely on.  So, if you are thinking of subscribing to a further three sessions, do check the dates first and book when you know you can be there for all three. The value is in the room on the night.Nothing is wastedI keep a running list of the case questions I cannot answer live. They shape what goes into the video case analysis library, or become a new resource on the portal.
